5 litas – Barn Owl

The obverse of the coin features the Coat of Arms of the Republic of Lithuania. The inscription LIETUVA (Lithuania) arranged in a semi-circle runs at the top and the inscriptions 5 LITAI (5 litas) and 2002 at the bottom. The reverse of the coin displays the owl from the Red Book of Lithuania. The inscriptions LIEPSNOTOJI PELĖDA, TYTO ALBA (Barn owl, Tyto alba in Latin) are arranged in a semi-circle.
