5 euro – Hoop and Stick — Children´s Games

The commemorative coin "Hoop and Stick" is the first in the series dedicated to Children's Games, which will make both children and adults remember happy days. Designed by the award-winning designer and illustrator Henrique Cayatte, on the obverse this silver coin has a depiction of the toy in motion and, on the reverse, the names of various games that are part of Portuguese cultural heritage. Making this piece even more special, Casa da Moeda partnered with Instituto Superior Técnico to develop a central rotating element that evokes the hoop in motion.
