The 2024 series “Outstanding constructions in Luxembourg” celebrates the Esch-sur-Sûre dam, a masterpiece of engineering completed in 1958. Despite initial challenges, it became Luxembourg’s largest drinking water reservoir, ensuring the vitality of the Grand Duchy. The silver and Nordic gold coin commemorates its history and crucial role in water supply.
