Series: Spain – Silver 10 euro coins
The obverse portrays the likeness of His Majesty King Juan Carlos. The reverse shows the face value and reproduces an image of the punch-out metal strip remaining after obtaining the blanks or coin discs that are subsequently to be minted.
On the occasion of the 25th Anniversary of the Accession of Spain and Portugal to the European Union (1986-2011), the mints of these two countries have prepared a commemorative issue, consisting in both cases of one gold and one sterling silver coin minted in proof quality. The Spanish coins, minted by the Fábrica Nacional de Moneda y Timbre-Real Casa de la Moneda, have face values of 20 and 10 euros, and the Portuguese coins, minted by the Imprensa Nacional Casa da Moeda, have face values of 0.25 y 10 euros.
