25 kuna - 25th Anniversary of the Introduction of the Kuna

Motif on the obverse: A symbolic image of the coin with 25 small circles along the outer edge of the coin’s ring, which symbolise the 25 years of the introduction of the kuna as the monetary unit in the Republic of Croatia, is positioned within the coin core. The central part of the coin core features the number “25”, marking the anniversary year. The outlines of the number “25” reveal an image of a marten turned to the right, with the marten’s body integrated with the numeral. The inscription “OBLJETNICA UVOĐENJA KUNE” (ANNIVERSARY OF THE INTRODUCTION OF THE KUNA) is laid out circularly above the core, in the top section of the coin’s ring. The dates “30. 5. 1994. – 30. 5. 2019.” are inscribed below the core circularly along the lower section within the ring. The surface of the coin is divided into twenty-five squares, symbolising the coat of arms of the Republic of Croatia and the twenty-five years of the introduction of the kuna as the monetary unit of the Republic of Croatia.
Motif on the reverse: the centre of the coin core features the denomination numeral “25”. The outlines of the number “25” reveal an image of a marten turned to the right, with the marten’s body integrated with the denomination numeral. Positioned above the denomination numeral and the image of a marten is an image of the coat of arms of the Republic of Croatia. A common oak branch with acorns is positioned at the left, above the denomination numeral on the coin’s ring surface. The top right section above the denomination numeral on the coin’s ring bears the inscription “REPUBLIKA HRVATSKA”. The name of the monetary unit “KUNA” is inscribed at the left below the numeral. A laurel branch in bloom is positioned at the right below the numeral on the ring’s surface.
