200 kronor - Stockholm 750th anniversary
Series: Sweden - Silver coins
The price of the coins was set at SEK 250 and SEK 2,500 respectively. The artist is Bo Thorén, who has previously designed numerous medals and commemorative coins. The coin was minted by Nordic Coin AB Svenska Myntverket in Eskilstuna. The obverse shows a well-known motif, Stockholm City Hall, Ragnar Östberg's architectural masterpiece, which was inaugurated in 1923. The reverse shows a seal with three towers and a castle gate. The seal dates back to 1326 and was last used in 1607, when the facial portrait of Saint Erik, dating back to 1376, finally replaced the old seal. Ref: Lagerqvist, L.O: Stockholm 750 år 1252-2002.
