The Vatican City State Mint is pleased to issue the second coin on the theme of Art and Faith, depicting the bronze statue of St. Peter in the Vatican, a work by Arnolfo di Cambio. This splendid statue is covered with the Papal Vestments on the occasion of the Feast of Saints Peter and Paul on 29 June of each year; in the background, the magnificent apsidal stained glass window of St. Peter’s Basilica, the work of Gian Lorenzo Bernini.
