The first coin of the series "Great Abbeys of Austria" shows the Benedictine convent of Nonnberg Abbey and the church featuring a distinctive onion-shaped dome. On the hilltop in the background it shows the castle of Hohensalzburg and Untersberg mountain and in the front the Kajetaner church. The reverse side of the coin shows the ctypt consecrated to the St. Erentrudis, the first abbess of the convent and in the foreground a statue of her.
