10 euro - 1st Round-The-World Voyage

To commemorate the V Centenary of the First Circumnavigation of the World, the Royal Spanish Mint has issued an 8 Reales coin in silver, being the third of the four coins to dedicate to this topic, with same specifications, are issued between 2019 and 2022, one each year. The fourth will be dedicated to the arrival of Juan Sebastián Elcano in Spain. On the obverse, the image of Juan Sebastián Elcano is reproduced, taken from the portrait kept in the Naval Museum in Madrid. On the right, detail of the head of the sculptural work entitled Carlos V, made by Leone and Pompeo Leoni, which is kept in the Museo Nacional del Prado, Madrid. The reverse depicts an image of the arrival in the Spice Island of Juan Sebastián Elcano (nowadays the Molucca Islands). This image was created by the Coin Engraving Department of the Spanish Mint.
