10 euro - 15th Anniversary of the inclusion of the San Marino Old Town and Mount Titano in the UNESCO World Heritage List
Series: San Marino - Silver 10 euro coins
The series celebrates the high symbolic value represented by the inscription of the Historic Centre of San Marino and Mount Titano in the World Heritage List, on 7 July 2008, adopting the following declaration: "San Marino is one of the oldest Republics in the world and the only surviving city-state, representing an important stage in the development of democratic models in Europe and throughout the world"; "San Marino and Mount Titano are an exceptional testimony to the establishment of a representative democracy based on civic autonomy and self-government". The sketch shows a view of Mount Titano with an electric train of the San Marino-Rimini Electric Railway, an exceptional work of engineering that departed from the Historic Centre of San Marino, included in the UNESCO World Heritage List, passing over a viaduct.
